Our natural surroundings speak to those of us who listen. A rich and healing voice do they use. Will all this be lost to those of us who live in the City? As more and more folks migrate to Urban settings, shall knowledge of the real world vanish, replaced by virtual reality?
Whatever else we do, we must heed the call of the wild, and dedicate ourselves to preserving and protecting what is left, and restoring what has already been destroyed.
Nothing could be more illustrative of the power of susrruses than the gentle rain. They do not have the flash of the thunder and lightening storm, nor the pounding drum of a torrential downpour. The gentle wash of water, brings life to our land, soothes our mean spirits, and weathers rocks and buildings in slow but inevitable ways.
